Record the starting point
Each alert should identify the publication time and time zone, underlying, contract identifiers and expiry, structure, entry conditions, maximum-risk assumptions, catalyst, and thesis invalidation conditions.
A complete archive makes the reasoning visible—including when a thesis changes, an idea loses, or entry conditions never arrive.
Each alert should identify the publication time and time zone, underlying, contract identifiers and expiry, structure, entry conditions, maximum-risk assumptions, catalyst, and thesis invalidation conditions.
Changes should be appended with a timestamp and reason. Original conditions should remain visible. Winning, losing, cancelled, expired, and never-triggered ideas all belong in the archive.
Publishing a reference price does not mean a subscriber received a fill. A future record should distinguish quoted bid/ask, reference price, execution assumptions, and the timing of updates. No fill should be inferred solely from a price touch.
Any future performance reporting should identify the full sample, time period, open versus closed positions, costs, slippage assumptions, capital basis, and calculation method. Realized, unrealized, backtested, and hypothetical results should be distinguished.
Invented win rates. Selectively displayed winners. Hypothetical outcomes labeled as subscriber returns. We have no verified live results to publish yet, and our examples are clearly identified as illustrative.
